Providing advice, support and refuge services to victims of domestic abuse. Also providing information and education on the subject to make the case for effective action against domestic violence, intimidation and psychological abuse and for policies that support victims of abuse.
The helpline is the first port of call for many caught up in abusive relationships or worried about others who may be experiencing abuse. The service provides the caller with an experienced listener who can then provide information, engage with the victim and begin to set out the choices that are available in different situations.
