A grass-roots local organisation working in Hackney to eradicating FGM it in the UK, especially among African, Asian and Arab communities. This is a dangerous practice which has devastating physical, psychological and emotional effects on the victims. They also address issues relating to HIV and AIDS, and domestic violence.
Services offered include:
*Support victims through referrals, support and a helpline
*Organise drama, cultural evenings, women’s meetings, girls support meetings
*Social media events
*Debates and information evenings especially for young people
*Training volunteers, parents and carers
*Organising conferences, seminars and workshops
*Collaborates with community members, churches, mosques and cultural centres
*Advocate for victims and lobbies leaders and MPs
