Housing for Women is a charity and housing provider with a mission to empower women and challenge inequalities they face. They provide a unique blend of housing and support services for women and their families in London. They support women through affordable housing, help women and children escaping domestic abuse, survivors of trafficking, women leaving prison and older women.
They offer the following services:
– Housing – Providing social rent home to women and their families
– Domestic Abuse Services – They run a range of specialist services to help women and children escaping abuse access safety and build their lives, including refuges and a free advice line and support in the community
– RePlace – A project that supports survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery
– ReUnite – The first project of its kind to help women secure accomodation and rebuild their families and relationships with children on release from prison
– ReConnect – Offers supported accomodation for single comen with complex needs on release from prison
– ReVive – Specifically designed to support LBTQI+ survivors of domestic abuse and violence – in partnership with Metro (operating in Lewisham, Greenwich and Merton)
– Supporting Older Women – Helping support older women to live independently and prevent isolatio
– Managing for Others – They provide maintenance and management services to other housing providers in Greenwich and Streatham
